We will start with my favorite year of old chevy, the ’69 The available engine in 1969 is what is most memorable. This was the first year for the famous 350 V8 2002 was the last year the 350 cid was made in the US. It is still produced in Mexico. The funny thing is this is one engine size you will find cut across manufacturers lines being available in GM and Ford model vehicles. The K-5 Blazer was introduced this year as well.

Next we look at the 1970 modelFrom 69 to 70 very little changed in the appearance of these vehicles. There is one small change that differentiates between the two and it is in the grille.

The 1971 Chevy truck pretty much looks the same, some very minimal changes to the interior.Chrome trim and extra padding were added depending on options chosen. If you were one of the lucky ones to own one of these trucks in ’71, then you know it was the first year you got to listen to FM radio

There was not any reason to change much in ’72, the trucks were still very much a favorite. A little wood grain for the interior of some models and a repositioned rear view mirror is about all there is to report for 1972.
