A great thing about being human is the want to have an interesting hobby. There are a lot of people who are very fond of sports, whether as a spectator or as an actual jock; they can be found on the varsity teams of High Schools or after-school clubs and gain praise from excelling at physical tasks. Yet others are into exercising their minds and do complicated mind acrobatics, believing that good grades will get them into an Ivy League University.
Then there are those, like me, that are into the fine art of making crafts. We take pride in seeing our imaginations come to life through the objects that we sculpt, be it a paintbrush, a nondescript piece of wood, or a straight wire. We find a certain amount of joy when someone compliments us on our works. When someone is genuinely proud of what you had made, the emotions that will run through the back of your mind are beyond compare.
As such, those that are into crafts like me are continuously on the lookout for various craft shows. Living in the American Heartland, I find that there are many opportunities to show off my creations to the general public using these shows. It is all just a matter of balancing my time as a student, as the son of a farmer, and as an aspiring craftsman.
If you are like me, and you’re looking for a good craft festival to show off, all you would have to do is look for it in the information highway known as the Internet. With just a little bit of online savvy, you’ll easily find your way around to a list of all craft fairs occurring in Iowa.
After finding your way around, check out the contact information of the event organizers. This may be done via e-mail for easy interaction, but the best way is talk to them; vis-a-vis, so see if you can meet up with them.
